BRITISH SWIMMING DISCIPLINARY CODE

British Swiming has adopted a revised Disciplinary Code. To view in full please CLICK HERE

The new Code came into force on 17 September 2005 and applied to all complaints under the jurisdiction of British Swimming received after that date.

The new Code replaces the previous Disciplinary Code (June 2003).

Please note that the Code relates only to matters within the jurisdiction of British Swimming and shall not apply to any competition or matter wholly within the jurisdiction of any of the Home Nation Associations, ASA, SASA or WASA.

NEW JUDICIAL LAWS

The Head of Legal Affairs put forward a report to ASA Committee on the 9 September 2005 and which outlined a proposed interim Law change to the ASA Judicial Laws and Rules to be brought in under the emergency powers contained within ASA Law 38. The proposal was approved.

In line with the proposal made within the report, the rule changes are now posted on the ASA website from the close of the day on Monday 26 September 2005. Following an appropriate 28 days period, the new procedures will be implemented with effect from the 1 November 2005.

AMENDMENTS TO JUDICIAL RULES

The Head of Legal Affairs put forward a Report to ASA Board February 2007, which outlined proposed Rule changes to the ASA Judicial Rules.  The proposal was approved.

The new Rules will be implemented with effect from the 21 April 2007.
