DISABILITY COMMITTEE

The ASA Disability Committee consists of approximately twenty members who represent the Home Countries, Disability swimming specialists and non-voting professional staff, EFDS, who normally meet four times per year.

The Committee works to support the National Development Officer - Disability, to ensure that the certification, classification and
administrative infrastructure is in place so that swimmers can access
appropriate competitive opportunities and can be classified to
international standard.

The Education group works to ensure that there are suitably qualified
teachers, tutors and coaches to meet the needs of people with disabilities.
It also organises an annual Disability Conference for teachers and tutors in February each year.

Contact with the Committee should be made through the Committee Administrator.
